Former UH All-American and Olympian:
Deitre Collins Parker
A former member of the U.S. national team and a three-time AVCA All-American at the University of Hawaii, Collins-Parker was the starting middle blocker for the 1988 Olympic Team in Seoul, South Korea, and was an alternate for the 1992 team in Barcelona, Spain. She played in over 130 international matches and earned bronze medals at the 1986 Goodwill Games and the 1987 Pan-Am Games.
All-American and Olympian:
Tara Cross Battle
Player of the Year, four time All-America and NCAA champion at Long Beach State - retired following the August 24 match bringing an end to a career that saw her play in 410 international matches, 27 Olympic matches and become the first four-time Olympian in USA Volleyball history.
All-American and Olympian:
Ruth Lawanson
A back up setter and hitter during her storied playing career, Lawanson was a member of the 1992 United States Olympic team that won the bronze medal at the Barcelona games. In all, she spent four seasons with the U.S. National Team, including the 1991 World Cup squad that earned a bronze medal in Japan and the 1990 World Championships team that won a bronze medal in China. She was also honored with the national team's 1991 Judy Bellomo Players Award and won a gold medal with the 1992 U.S. Olympic Festival West Region team.
